Do you know that simply expressing gratitude everyday will make you 25% happier?
An impressive stat to say the least!
Now imagine if you incorporate gratitude into your daily meditation practice. Unfortunately I don’t have a statistic for the power of this, but in my opinion your daily appreciation and overall happiness will drastically increase and soar past 25%!
Expressing gratitude and meditating on a daily basis are both extremely powerful and important rituals that I encourage you to incorporate into your day-to-day life. I know some people who express gratitude in their gratitude journal while other friends express gratitude verbally or simply in their mind.
I choose to express my gratitude in more ways than one and this includes expressing gratitude throughout my meditation sessions!
1. The first thing I do when I turn on my computer every morning is visit www.gratitudelog.com.
It’s an awesome online community where you can express gratitude and appreciation for anything in your life! You can also use gratitude log to send notes of appreciation to those special people in your life. Check out Gratitude Log and you’ll find out why it’s something simple, easy and positive you can do to better yourself.
2. I find that another great time to express gratitude is when I’m laying in bed. It’s usually when I close my eyes and I still have a few thoughts running through my mind that I choose to direct my attention on the wonderful things of my day. Sometimes I’m grateful for a productive day at work or for eating healthy and going to the gym. Other days I’m grateful for sunshine and blue skies.
3. Last but not least I express gratitude when I meditate. My meditation session isn’t dedicated to solely expressing gratitude, but I find that it’s useful to be grateful for the things I do and don’t have when in my sessions. Now it might sound a bit odd to be grateful for something I don’t have but I know that the meditative state is powerful and if I act like I already have something then my subconscious will believe it and work towards achieving it! Cool, right?
Try incorporating gratitude into your daily routine and remember to express gratitude during your meditation sessions. It’s a great way to “kill two birds with one stone” and work towards conquering your goals and being thankful for what you already have in your life!
